How efficient can routing of individual 37.5 GHz-spaced 100 Gb/s 33 GBaud carriers be in WDM mesh core networks?

With a real-time transponder, we assess the penalty on a 100 Gb/s 33 GBaud carrier through a series of sixteen 37.5 GHz-wide filters, and discuss how far this suits WDM mesh terrestrial networks.
