How to Survive Product Changes in Electronics Assembly
01 January 1989
In rapidly changing markets, product design quality does not end with the first product and manufacturing process designs. Product changes are an integral part of electronics manufacturing as manufacturers strive to reduce cost, correct disruptions to material supply, and improve products. To insure that product quality is maintained in the face of a continuous stream of product design changes requires active change management. This means rethinking the flow of information through a large network of organizations and understanding the role of people as information processors in advanced manufacturing facilities.
