Hyper-Wideband Wireless Link with 12GHz Instantaneous Bandwidth Enabled by Silicon Photonics

We demonstrate the first silicon photonics enabled hyper-wideband wireless error-free link with instantaneous bandwidth greater than 85% of the center frequency (12GHz/14GHz). Silicon microwave photonics enables simple hyper-wideband phase encoding for RF CDMA and tunable filtering for interference rejection that surpasses conventional wireless technology.
