Impact of Imperfect Wideband Dispersion Compensation on the Performance of WDM Transmission Systems at 40 Gbit/s

We numerically investigated the impact of the partial DCF ability to uniformly compensate for fibre dispersion over a wide wavelength range for 40Gb/s WDM systems and found a strong potential for improvement in NZDSF-based systems.
