Impact of Optical Filtering on the Performance of 28 GB Nyquist-WDM PDM-8QAM over 37.5 GHz Grid

We study the impact of optical filtering due to ROADMs on the performance of 28 GB Nyquist WDM PDM-8QAM over a 37.5 GHz grid. The performance degradation due to intersymbol interference and its mitigation using MAP detection are investigated. System sensitivity to transmit laser frequency detuning was studied as well.
