Impact of the transmission channel on GALILEO signal performance

In the framework of the GALILEO signal definition, this paper endeavours to address two signal optimisation issues through results of simulations. The first point refers to the choice of the signal wave form, trading off a square root raised cosine and a square BPSK signal in several channel models. The second point refers to the study of the impact of DME/TACAN interference in E5 band with diffrent modulation schemes. Impact of BOC modulation is compared with other modulation schemes.
