Impact of Wavelength Route Correlation on the Optimal Placement of Optical Monitors in Transparent Mesh Networks

Monitor placement in transparent networks is optimized as a function of traffic loading, and wavelength route correlation is shown to collapse the monitoring requirement for transparent domains greater than the maximum node-to-node distance.
