Improved Nonlinear Tolerance of 112-Gb/s PDM-OFDM in Dispersion- Uncompensated Transmission with Efficient Channel Estimation

We show that the signal-channel nonlinear tolerance of a 112- Gb/s PDM-OFDM signal coherently detected with a novel channel estimation scheme, is substantially improved by fiber dispersion. Preliminar simulation results on WDM performance are also discussed.
