In-Line Polarimeter Using Blazed Fiber Gratings

We demonstrate a compact, in-fiber polarimeter employing a UV induced birefrigent fiber waveplate and blazed fiber gratings as polarization sensitive optical taps. The polarimeter was tested using a feedback loop and found to provide accurate control of polarization over a bandwidth greater than 70nm.
