ISDN: From Trial to Reality

Late in 1986, AT&T began its introduction of ISDN with the ceremonial first call involving Illinois Bell and McDonald's Corporation. Since that time, several steps have been taken to provide wide Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) exposure to the ISDN features on the 5ESS Switch and, thus, make the commercial introduction of ISDN as easy as possible.
