This paper will be a short (20-25 minute presentation), non-technical tutorial on what ISDN is and what it will mean to the telecommunications industry. The talk will focus on the basic attributes which make ISDN important: digital connectivity to the customers premises, integrated access at bandwidths greater than that offered by standard, voice-only channels, and powerful, out-of-band signaling.
