Large Scale Antenna Systems: Channel Measurements and Low-Complexity Designs

his technical report provides a detailed analysis of measured large scale communication channels. The results presented in this document have been obtained from a set of channel measurements of a large scale antenna system (LSAS) located in Stuttgart. This report focuses on analyzing the characteristics of the acquired channel measurements and their implications on designing LSASs. Specifically, we focus on the hardware and signal processing aspects of the system, which can be potentially reduced based on the available measurements. The methodology and metrics employed in this technical report also constitute the basis for the analysis of future channel measurements.
