Laser Applications

Since its first demonstration in 1960, the laser has evolved into many different forms. It can be now found in many industries, in the hospital, and even in the supermarket. With the advent of the CD player, the laser is now finding a place in the home. This talk will describe these applications and their requirements, and how lasers have been developed to meet the specific needs of the users. The areas of application which will be addressed are.
