Light Scattering Determination of Band Offsets in Semiconductor Quantum Wells

We have recently introduced a light scattering method for the determination of band offsets in semiconductor quantum wells. In the light scattering approach the conduction band offset is obtained from the direct measurement of the spacing between conduction quantum well energy levels photoexcited samples. Exciton binding energies or valence band parameters, major complications in more conventional optical techniques, are no longer needed.
