We report on first optical measurements of semiconductor nanocrystals incorporated into fluorinated polymer nased waveguides. Nanocrystals of different compositions and sizes were successfully used, with a spectral span both in the visible and IR. Photoluminescence measurements show that these nanocrystals preserve their optical activity inside the polymer host.
