Fronthaul constrained Distributed Massive MIMO system (DM-MIMO) is a combination of Massive MIMO, and the architecture of Cloud Radio Access Network (C-RAN). It can simultaneously exploit the high spectral and energy efficiency provided by these two promising techniques of 5G, and boosts each other. We investigate the uplink of such system, aiming to minimize the energy consumption at the users' side. By exploiting the decentralized Fog Computing, we propose a novel signal processing and power control mechanism, that can greatly reduce the overall complexity, amounts of overheads and hardware costs. It overcomes several drawbacks of the existing algorithms, but introduces only minor performance degradation, compared to the conventional centralized ones, as the numerical results suggest.
