Low-Temperature Multi-Phase Adsorption of H sub 2 S on Ni(001) and Cu(001)

The adsorption of H sub 2 S on Ni(001) and Cu(001) has been studied with NEXAFS and SEXAFS as a function of temperature and coverage. These data represent the first results from the new AT&T Bell Laboratories X15B beamline at the National Synchrotron Light Source. Substantial improvements in beam stability, purity (harmonic rejection), resolution, and brightness, along with considerably increased total beam intensity, have all been achieved with this design.
