Magnetic fluctuations and order in exotic superconductors.

We review neutron scattering and muon spin relaxation results concerning magnetic correlations in UPt sub 3 and La sub (2- x) Sr sub x CuO sub 4. Implications of the data for understanding the pairing mechanism in these exotic superconductors are also considered.
