Makcal, an application generator for ADVICE.

Procedural simulation is a feature of AT&T's analog circuit simulator, ADVICE. It allows a circuit designer to control ADVICE through a C program as well as preprocess and postprocess simulation results. With this capability, circuit performance characteristics such as open loop gain and slew rate can be compiled automatically. The burden of writing the program to control ADVICE is generally on the circuit designer. Makcal has been created to ease this burden for designers who have little time to develop software and who are not familiar with C programming techniques. The programs created with makcal allow the designer to concentrate on the simulation needs rather than the programming obstacles.
