Manufacturing Diagnostic Tool (MDT): An On Board, Low Cost Test Solution

MDT is integrated into Lucent operating system TAOS (True Access Operating System). The component Vendor API's are also integrated into TAOS for use in system/application software. This offers multiple benefits. This also presents a challenge in that MDT usually requires a superset of API functionality that system software requires and both need to be addressed in initial integration to reduce unnecessary re-engineering.
