MBE growth and energy levels of quantum well with special shapes.

The MBE growth and energy levels of GaAs - (Al,Ga) AS quantum well structures with half-parabola and two-stepped square composition profiles are described. Pulsed beam growth is used for the half-parabolic wells. Energy level spacings are determined independently for electrons and holes form photoluminescence excitation measurements.
