The equipment described has been developed for general use in ground vehicles. With the exception of the three transmitter stages it is fully transistorised and the components are arranged on printed boards. The frequency range is 26 to 70 MHz and it provides 880 FM channels each 50 kHz wide. A detailed technical description of the transmitter-receiver is given together with a schematic diagram. A remote control unit is provided with this equipment, technical details of which are also given. A schematic diagram of the antenna tuning unit is given and the method of operation explained. The paper is well illustrated with photographs of the various components of the equipment as well as ancillary apparatus and test gear.
