Modeling Multicomputer Systems with PARET.

PARET (Parallel Architecture Research and Evaluation Tool) is a software package that provides a multicomputer system laboratory for investigation of alternative architectural decisions and experimentation with such issues as scheduling, mapping, and routing policies. PARET runs on SUN workstations, employing color graphics, mouse input and pop-up menus to control and observe a simulation engine. Both run-time and summary statistics from the simulation are made available to the user. The PARET multicomputer model and program structure is presented and the status of the project is described.
