Modeling Tool Main Program Library.

A modular system has been proposed for the construction of process and device modeling software, ["A Unified System for Process and Device Simulation" M. D. Giles, M. R. Pinto and R. K. Smith, 52111-870519-13TM. ] where modules communicate through a common database. ["Unified System for Process and Device Simulation: Proposed Database Interface Format" M. D. Giles and S. R. Nassif, 52111-880317-04TM ] This document describes the way in which individual modules are invoked and provides facilities for building modeling tools from individual modules. Traditional batch-style and more flexible shell-style interfaces are supported, and the library is constructed in such a way that further styles could be added if necessary.
