Modernization of the Suburban ESS: Billing and Measurements Modernization

T h e billing and traffic measurements capabilities available in the No. 2B Electronic Switching System (ESS) + today are the culmination of an evolutionary process spanning more t h a n a decade. During t h a t period, the E S S environment was changing at a very rapid pace, and as a result the billing and traffic measurements processes were continually being upgraded to meet t h e demands for each generic.
