Modifying FM Analog Radio to Carry Broadband Digital Signals

Two new circuits have been designed for the TD-90 Digital Radio System. The FM carrier interference canceler adaptively cancels FM cochannel interference by sampling the interference signal and then adding an equal magnitude, opposite phase signal to the interference. The adaptive transmitter power control varies the RF transmitter output power as a function of the hop fade depth.
