Modulation Techniques for Digital Cellular Systems

There are many different modulation techniques which have been considered for digital cellular systems. With proper techniques, a digital cellular system can offer increased spectral efficiency in addition to new services. The properties of linear modulation techniques can be exploited to offer the best spectral efficiency. When combined with high quality low bit-rate speech coding and channel coding, linear modulation provides a substantial increase in system capacity.
