Molded Hybrid IC Packages

AT&T has developed a unique packaging technique for encapsulating and molding a hybrid integrated circuit using an epoxy-based material. This molded package provides environmental, chemical, and mechanical protection for hybrid IC's. It has been developed for surface mounted plastic leaded chip carrier (PLCC) applications, and through-hole- mounted single and dual-in-line applications.
