Molecular Beam Epitaxy for Optoelectronic Device Applications

Layered structures on an atomic scale have resulted in artificially structured materials having electrical and optical properties which do not exist in nature. Supperlattice and quantum well devices, such as recently developed infrared detectors and modulators, surface emitting lasers, and resonant tunneling devices will be discussed.
