Molecular Diffusion on Metal Surfaces: Time-Resolved Infrared Spectroscopy and Other Techniques.

Various experimental approaches to measure molecular diffusion on surfaces are presented. Microscopic probes such as field emission and field ion microscopies are contrasted to macroscopic probes such as laser induced desorption. Emphasis is given to macroscopic techniques such as infrared spectroscopy from which microscopic diffusion can be extracted.
