Monolithic Coherent Receiver Based on 120-Degree Optical Hybrids on Silicon

We present a polarization diversity coherent receiver by employing 120-degree optical hybrids on a monolithic silicon photonic integrated circuit. 112-Gb/s polarization-division-multiplexed quadrature phase-shift keying signals are successfully detected over the whole C-band.
