Monolithic Integrated Silicon-based Slot-Blocker for Packet-Switched Network

We demonstrate 16-channels monolithic SOI-based integrated optical slot blocker. Such device includes two arrayed waveguide gratings, 16 variable optical attenuators and two vertical bragg grating couplers. We successfully operate it with multi-format and multi-bit-rate optical packet over the C-band.
