Network and Equipment Configuration Capabilities of the Integrated Access Cross-Connect System

New Image

This paper highlights the configuration capabilities of the Integrated Access Terminal (IAT) and the Integrated Access Controller (IAC). The IAT integrates voice, signaling, data, and image into packets. It includes two automatic features: the equipment configuration and the clock synchronization switching. The IAC is a centralized network controller. It collects traffic engineering and network management data to insure network performance and reliability. The IAC also serves as a centralized point for downloading, memory backup, and time of day synchronization features.
