NMR Investigation of Microstructure in Poly(P-Hydroxybenzoic Acid / Ethylene Terephthalate)
01 April 1990
Random copolymers of p-hydroxybenzoic acid (HBA) and ethylene terephthalate (ETP) exhibit liquid crystallinity upon melting and thus are of interest for their potential in forming high-strength polymeric products. The microstructure of HBA/ETP copolymers has been studied extensively using calorimetry, diffraction, microscopy, chemical etching, dielectric spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.
