Nonlinear Interference Noise Statistics in Unmanaged Coherent Networks with Channels Propagating over Different Lightpaths

We show that neighboring channels with variable pre-dispersion distortions induce phase-noise like nonlinear interference to a non pre-dispersed reference channel. We discuss the impact of fiber type on this feature and we quantify the Q-factor penalty.
