Optimum performance of any transmission scheme is implicitly coupled with the optimal receive-strategy. Linear receiver strategies for the interference alignment based cooperative transmission are investigated here. Using the system simulations, we have evaluated the signal to noise ratios (SNIR) and compared the mean sum-rate of an OFDM based downlink transmission system with spatial channel model. The sum rate results show that the receive strategies focusing on the maximum interference suppression perform better then the strategies focusing to strengthen the receive signal. While looking at the mean user rates, the observation depends upon the receiver SNIR region.
