Planar Lightwave Circuit Eight-Channel CWDM Multiplexer

We demonstrate a novel, compact, eight-channel CWDM multiplexer. The fully-packaged channel losses range from 3.1dB to 5.5dB, the 1-dB bandwidth is 16.5nm, and the crosstalk is -26dB. This silica-waveguide device could have very low cost.
