Polarization Dependent Intensity Noise in Er/Yb Co-doped Fiber Lasers

Polarization dependent intensity noise in the output of a short- cavity Er/Yb co-doped fiber laser exhibits a low frequency resonance that is not accounted for using Langevin rate equations including nonlinear gain. Alternative models are suggested.
