Portable 7-gigahertz radio system for multichannel telephony
01 January 1967
Describes a new all-solid-state, small capacity, radio link equipment intended for short haul work, where physical telephone circuits are either difficult, uneconomic, or need augmenting. Up to 24 channels may be transmitted and the equipment, which is mains or battery operated, required only 30 watts for a receiver-transmitter unit. Features in design are simplicity and compactness at minimum cost consistent with the required performance. A detailed description of the components and circuitry is given, together with schematic diagrams.
