Processing and Properties Relations in YBa sub 2 Cu sub 3 O sub 7 Superconductors

Ceramic processing of YBa sub 2 Cu sub 3 O sub 7 based superconductors and process related problems will be described. We report the processing from powder and solution precursors and we also review different methods used in powder preparation. Conditions for calcination, sintering and microstructural development are important considerations for the superconducting properties. We also examined different forming techniques to prepare superconducting components with different sized, shapes and configurations.
