Proposed Architecture for the Capture of Unix System V Performance Data

As UNIX System V becomes the operating system of choice for larger, faster, more complex computer systems, there is an increased need to effectively manage these systems. But there exists little software to support performance management of these complex systems. Administrators of standard UNIX Systems must rely on sar(1) data to manage their systems.
