Providing user support in Web-of-Things enabled Smart Spaces
01 January 2011
In this paper, we describe an approach to realizing ambient intelligence concepts to support the user in the context of Web of Things enabled Smart Spaces. Our approach builds on RESTful exposition of connected resources and proposes an associated framework for hosting, describing, finding and composing resources in the context of applications that interact with the users physical environment. With a focus on user experience and support, we present here a mobile application that serves as a WoT browser and reasoning mechanisms that propose to the user best matching resources based on the description of the application needs. We illustrate the usage of the resulting components through a set of simple use cases.
