(PREVIOUS TITLE: A Meta-Data-Driven Approach to Provisioning of Heterogeneous Network Devices) This paper presents an intelligent gateway architecture, IP-CLIX, that shields device and interface heterogeneity from network provisioning tools. A salient feature of IP-CLIX is its meta-data-driven approach, which not only facilitates incremental/selective supports of various interfaces and services but also enables rapid deployment of mediation modules for additional CLI types.
