Reduction of Nonlinear Impairments in Coupled-Core Multicore Optical Fibers

We present a general model for studying the nonlinear effects in coupled-core multicore fibers. Our results show that interactions between the intramodal nonlinearities and linear coupling between core can improve system performance.
