Silicon epitaxial planar transistors. The II characteristics

The characteristics of a commercial range (Standard Telephones and Cables Ltd, UK) of planar transistors, some using epitaxial techniques, are described and the advantages of the various types demonstrated by graphs and tables. The impracticability of a "universal" transistor is stressed.
