Simplified procedure for computing behaviour of multiconductor lossless transmission lines

New Image

The problem of r.f. transmission lines of > 2 conductors or involving a combination of two lines lying geometrically parallel is treated by the vector potential method. By assuming that the lines are lossless and operating in the T.E.M. mode, the electromagnetic conditions on the line can be expressed in terms of the velocity of propagation and the coefficients of electrostatic capacitance and magnetostatic inductance.
