Companion table and wall telephone sets are described which have been specially designed to eliminate troubles due to excess moisture, dirt, lint, insects and open or high-resistance circuits due to deteriorated soldered joints, broken wires or poor contact betw. conductors and screw heads. The interconnecting medium is a moulded plastic block into which is incorporated the bare copper bus wiring, the gravity switch complete with plunger and all connecting terminals for the line, handset and dial cords and the several circuit elements. Every element in the set connects directly to this block without the aid of supplementary wiring, the circuit components being fitted with spring brass spade lugs that slip directly under the screw heads of the connecting terminals, the method of mounting being such that good electrical connection is maintained even if the screws become loose. Any defective components can be replaced simply with a screwdriver, and it is impossible to assemble them incorrectly. Illustrations are given of all components, including the special non-kink cord used for the handset.
