SIMUL - A tool for the simulation and analysis of protocols.

SIMUL is a software package to be used in conjunction with the SPANNER software package for the simulation and performance evaluation of protocols. SIMUL serves as a testbed for studying the operational, dynamic behavior of protocols. Thus, SIMUL can answer many performance questions that cannot be answered through static analysis. SIMUL can be particularly useful for very complex protocols with a large number of reachable states. For such protocols, any static analysis has limited utility and is impractical in many cases.
