Simulation Study of TCP Behavior Over Redundant Source Routing in Ad Hoc Networks
01 January 2004
In this paper we investigate and compare TCP performance over DSR (Dynamic Source Routing) and RSR (Redundant Source Routing), a routing method combining multi-path source routing with duplicate packet delivery. Through simulation and analysis, we show that RSR outperforms DSR in highly-dynamic situations, which suggests that RSR is a good candidate for mobile ad hoc networks. Experimental results also show the performance advantage of TCP SACK over Tahoe and Reno.
