Structural Analysis of Nb and Ti Doped Sodium Silicate Glasses Using Raman Spectroscopy

Nb and Ti doped silicate glasses have been found to have relatively large non-linear refractive indices which is of importance in optical switching. In order to resolve the relationship between the structure and the optical properties we have done a Raman study of two series of Nb and Ti doped silicate glasses.
